Eucalyptus

And when I miss home,
I play soccer,
my black and white ball is the most friendly creature in the world,

when I miss the chilly weather of my childhood city,
I think of the little snowmen that I used to make,

when I miss the hot weather of my old city,
I smell the leaves of Eucalyptus,
smell of our backyard after the rain,
the noise of the AC,
and solving puzzles in newspapers with my grandma,

when I miss home,
I miss the noises, the voices, the names,
I miss that kind circle,
full of laughter, talks, kindness,
full of silence

and when I miss you,
I hear you on the line,
and you're there for me as always;
and I still miss you!

"Ocean's apart day after day
And I slowly go insane
I hear your voice on the line
But it doesn't stop the pain
If I see you next to never
How can we say forever
Wherever you go
Whatever you do
I will be right here waiting for you
Whatever it takes
Or how my heart breaks
I will be right here waiting for you..."

your writing is so beautiful mary:)
