Summary of my Montreal Diary
Friday we watched Borat, not that I'm interested in teasing third world countries, but I went just because...I personally did not like it, but the whole theater burst into laughter! So I assume it was funny?!!!!!?
Saturday early morning we all left Ottawa, and after 2 hours of straight talking, I caught up with Geni! Since May which is the last time we were out together, almost 7 months ago! No kidding we had so much to talk about...
Montreal was cold actually, and rainy, and we spent so much time walking around beautiful buildings of Old Port, although I remember last time I went there, it was during the summer, and no such hassle (If pulling out wisdom teeth do not count as one), anyways, we ended up buying new umbrellas!
Then we visited this extraordinary church, Notredome, and we were all fascinated by its vastness and details!
Afterwards, we went to BioDome and Olympic stadium,,,and it was so far the best part of my trip,,,,penguins!!!! I just wish I could pet a penguin, they are the smartest animal ever, and the cutest, they are just amazing! I even caught them having intimate moments, I'm not going into details on that subject matter!
I also saw many other extraordinary animals from Lynx to crocodiles and sea creatures...One of my friends had a snake phobia, and we had to go ahead and look for snakes in case she wouldn't encounter one, I ended up buying a little penguin and a lynx poster as a souvenir which I lost afterwards!
We were all kindda tired by the time we had dinner at a restaurant on St.Catherin, BUT we ATE A LOT, and I mean it! My old friend from Iran came over, and it was the sweetest thing, I met her after 5 years, and God knows how much we laughed and talked,,,So I got separated from my Ottawa friends and stayed at her place for the night, we played poker and talked until 4 AM straight, and passed out, I was so exhausted that I couldn't fall sleep for an hour! Can you imagine going to bed at 2 AM the night before, and waking up at 6 AM, walking around the whole city all day and going to bed at 4 AM the day after?
Anyways, we woke up at 12 and had breakfast for 2 hours and headed to shopping malls, we had dinner at "Tehran", and me, my body half asleep, half amazed with the whole trip got back to Ottawa, and got reunited with the old family! It was fun!
Afterall, I am a very lucky girl, I did not plan this trip, but I did wish for it 7 days ago, and even thought of planning it, but suddenly some of my old friends decided to go and invited me to go with them!!! How lucky is that?
Thank you God for listening to me!
P.S. 1st picture is us having breakfast in a cafe in Old Montreal, second is lovable penguins kissing, and third is a crocodile that initially I thought is a statute, and on the edge of loosing a bet I saw him move his jaw abit upward, maybe a couple of inches, and yes that was it for the statute!
