Up until now, I believed studying is the hardest job ever, it is not like I don't like studying, in fact I always enjoyed mostly all of the new subjects; However, my new job is changing my opinion.
my job as an engineering student in mechanical Eng. field is focusing on a lot of management, leadership and quality analysis purposes; it is not only a theoretical challenge but also a physical one, I always thought there is no job in the world which a girl is not able to do, I am still thinking the same way, since being in a factory environment with 99% guys around me is kindda strange and it makes me so exhausted sometimes, but as long as my goals are being achieved I am happy with this new experience. It is just that there are jobs which are difficult enough for a guy and they could be harder for a girl.
what I do everyday includes observing different engineering processes, analyzing them in terms of level of safety, risk, profit,communication, user friendly, quality management(it's only a summary of the big picture); it's all happening in a automotive industry plant which is an hour from my home, that's why my work days are starting as 5 am and finishing at 5 pm, and I am so out of energy by that time which leads me to bed around 10-11 pm.
I'm not sure if I am going to work like this for my whole life, but I do know it is going to be a great experience not only in my career based future but also in my personal life.
Everyday when I walk in the plant, I could see life in the middle of metallic rods, hydraulic motors, and dark stained air in the factory, it is not hard to find it in the eyes of dedicated people who love their jobs and you could see them so drowned in their duties, just like a butterfly which is looking at a flower. They could not be that educated but I could surely see beads of sweat which only comes from experience and couldn't be found by reading any textbook or note written in history.
Growing up in Iran, and now being in Canada for less than 3 years I can see a whole lot of change in myself and I just hope to be able to keep this as I am dealing with a lot of aspects of my individual life.
well, it was only something in my mind which I throw it here for myself for the time when I am coming back and looking at it, I would be able to see the difference better.
I do not want to bored you, but I think life could be a challenge and at the same time lovely for people who are looking for it and could be easy and boring for others. offcourse there are more than two categories and it is not just white or black, grey is a good color and comes with experience.
